Our Process
The process described here is a superset and depending on the nature of the app development, some of the steps may not apply, especially, If it is developed as a companion to a larger enterprises system.
Ideation

Part of this step is customer’s scope. Once the product idea is in-place, requirements will be gathered and development will be planned.
Usability

Primarily the look & feel as well as the navigation aspects will be finalized. Mockups and prototypes will give the customer a feel for the end app.
Development

Design of the app will be based on the need to support BYOD and support for cross platform or native. A part of this phase along with the next step can be executed using an Agile methodology.
Testing

Testing will be done at the end of the development cycle and will be done as many times as the sprints in an agile methodology. Typically, regression testing can be automated.
Release

Setting up the app store for users to download would be a one time activity. For every release, build to be created in the required format.
Support & Maintenance

Will involve providing user support for the app and parallely build backlog for further upgrade of the app. Upgrades are then released on a periodic basis.
